Oreo Cookies

(NOTE: We have a stand mixer. If you don't, an electric mixer of any kind should work just fine! Or you can just mix it by hand if you really really need to but that's gonna be painful and stupid.)

We just tried out this recipe today and are excited to announce that it's really good! It's got a nice, subtle sweetness to it that isn't super overpowering, but it's still an indulgent cookie.

Ingredients:

☆ 2 ¾ cups (330g) all purpose flour

☆ 1 tsp baking soda

☆ ½ tsp salt

☆ 15 Oreo (offbrand is fine too) cookies

☆ 1 cup (or 2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature

☆ ¾ cup packed brown sugar

☆ ¾ cup granulated sugar

☆ 2 large eggs

☆ 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

☆ Step 1: Preheat oven to 350º F. (TREE FIDDY!1!!!!)

☆ Step 2: Put Oreo cookies in a big baggie, crush them with a rolling pan!

☆ Step 3: In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and crushed Oreo bits. Set aside.

☆ Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar with an electric mixer of some kind until blended evenly. Add the in eggs and vanilla, beat again until mixed. It's important to not just add it all in at once! Then gradually add in the flour mixture, mixing on low or with a spatula just until combined.

☆ Step 5: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if you have any. If not, it's fine, it'll probably just get a bit stuck. Spoon out your dough in small ball shapes, they'll spread out into cookie shapes while baking. Place 6-8 cookies on a tray, about 3 inches apart. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are light brown and the center is puffy.

☆ Step 6: Allow the cookies to cool for 15 minutes before removing them from the baking sheet.

☆ Step 7: Enjoy!!! ^ q ^

You should end up with around 20 cookies with this recipe! Or like, less than that if you're making bigger spoonfuls of dough!
